5 day work shop
Location: At the Center for the Arts, Crested Butte
606 6th street, Crested Butte, CO 81224
Dates: Wednesday, August 7th- Sunday, August 11th
Studio Hours: 9 AM-12 PM, Lunch 12-1:30, 1:30 PM- 4:30 PM
Class cost $550, plus a $125 material fee
This workshop is not only about creating a beautiful floral painting, it is about using a flower to explore a version of an old masters technique- Value Painting- and discover new tools to add to your existing tool box and/or give you a foundation of skills: from getting your subject matter onto your board or canvas, setting up your palette, thinking about composition, basic brushwork, how to wash your brushes, mixing colors and utilizing creative tools to help you see color in a new way. You can be a novice or experienced painter. All you need is patience, focus and a willingness to learn something new. Anything that challenges you is worth pursuing.
